Our Rental Vehicle Policies in Florida
When renting a vehicle, it’s important to understand the limits and policies of our rental company to avoid additional charges. C.C. Rental sets clear expectations through open communication with our customers. Learn more about our passenger van rental policies in Florida and plan your reservation.
Legal Requirements for Driving Rental Vehicles
To rent a vehicle in any state, including Florida, drivers must meet the legal requirements. Be sure the following apply to you before reserving:
- Driver’s license: You must possess a valid driver’s license. We accept both domestic and foreign licenses. We must see a physical license and will not accept a copy or photo.
- Payment method: You must possess a valid means of payment. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not accept prepaid cards, reloadable cards, or gift cards.
- Minimum age: You must be above the minimum age to operate your vehicle. Age requirements vary between vehicle types, so call in advance to confirm your rental.
While you may add additional drivers to your rental, every driver who will operate the vehicle must be approved by C.C. Rental. This means meeting the minimum age requirement and presenting a physical, valid driver’s license.
E-ZPass and Toll Policy
Every vehicle in the C.C. Rental fleet comes with an E-ZPass transponder affixed to the windshield. The transponder automatically tracks the tolls you pass through and applies them to your credit card account. It also applies a $1.50 service fee per toll. E-ZPass charges apply separately from your rental charge, usually appearing within 48 hours of passing through the toll. At the end of your rental period, you will see one large charge for your rental followed by multiple small charges for tolls.
Do not remove or tamper with the E-ZPass transponder. Customers will be charged $50 extra for damaged or missing transponders. Do not use your own E-ZPass transponder. Each transponder is registered for a specific vehicle model and license plate, meaning that your transponder will not apply to our rental vehicles. All tolls on C.C. Rental vehicles must go through our E-ZPass transponders and account.
Mileage and Gas Policy
In Florida, our rental 15-passenger vans are available at weekly rates, and the mileage is unlimited. Rental vehicles must be returned with the same amount of gas they had at pick-up. Additional fees apply for vehicles returned without the same amount of gas or for late returns.
Vehicle Pick-Up and Drop-Off Policy
For Florida rentals, C.C. Rental will deliver your vehicle directly to select airports in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. We coordinate with your arrival time and other flight information to have the vehicle ready when you need it. We’ll inform you of the short-term rental parking space where your vehicle is located. After checking the gas and confirming final details, you can get in and start driving.
C.C. Rental does not have locations in Florida for drop-offs. Instead, you will leave the vehicle in a short-term parking spot at your airport of departure. Send us detailed information about the spot in which your vehicle is parked. After you depart, we will retrieve the vehicle. Be sure to accurately inform us of your arrival and departure times and airports. Keep us updated about any changes.
